Directed by Ilmari Sarki and written by Martti Saarikivi, the erotic fantasy film Colours (1965) is about a lonely man (Kalervo Koski) living on an island. Sitting on a cliff, he sees three naked maidens rising from the water and hides behind a rock to watch them in secret. The next morning, he thinks it was all in his head, until he catches a water nymph while lifting nets. He returns her to the water. Later he encounters them again, but as night falls he loses them. Was it all an illusion after all?
